lexılıght

Vocabulary practice your pupils want to keep doing.

An English word, four Dutch translations, 15 words per level. Every right answer lights a window in a tower in a city at night; finish the level and the whole tower glows. We made Lexilight for a fictional primary school to show what a learning game in your own school’s name can look like.

Play the demo On a computer you pick a phone or tablet, and the game runs inside it.

What a school gets

Your school’s name and colours

The game carries your logo, so pupils play the school’s own game. Here: the fictional Basisschool De Lichtkoepel.

Your own word lists

Per class, method or theme, and for any language pair. New lists are just data, no new app.

Motivating, not stressful

Points, streaks, stars and a day streak, with a leaderboard by nickname. No lives: a mistake is a chance to learn.

Learns from mistakes

Wrong words come back at the end of a level and in a practice round, until they stick.

Every device

Phone, tablet, Chromebook or classroom screen. It runs in the browser, nothing to install.

Privacy-friendly

No accounts and no tracking. Progress stays on the device; the leaderboard only knows a nickname.

Pronunciation by the device’s own voice. Dutch and English interface; more languages on request.
